Zenleaf Nano Water Soluble CBD
Nano Water Soluble CBD
The latest buzz in the hemp CBD world is all about nano CBD and water soluble cbd. So what is it? How does it work in the body? What makes it better than oil-based CBD drops already available on every billboard you see? One thing is certain, Nano CBD is on the cutting edge of CBD technology.
At ZenLeaf, we studied the possibilities of Nano CBD since launching our first products in late 2018. Through new formulation techniques, and patented processes, we’ve officially launched a new line of Nano Water Soluble CBD products. So we thought it might be a good time to explain our research and help everyone know all the great things about this new type of CBD.
Nano CBD goes through most of the same processes as regular CBD products. It is first extracted from the hemp flower (ours is organically grown and processed in FDA and organic certified facilities). We then add a process to remove the THC from the product, keeping all other cannabinoids and terpenes to create a broad-spectrum CBD. Then the magic happens, through a patented process that uses ultra-high frequency sound waves, we break the CBD apart into nano particles.
This process also makes the broad spectrum CBD water soluble, allowing us to suspend the new Nano CBD in a water based product—eliminating the oil required to consume other forms of CBD. So essentially, water soluble CBD is the same as nano CBD. You may hear some refer to nano CBD as nano CBD oil or nano enhanced CBD oil—and while you can mix nano CBD with oil, it is more easily suspended in water.
After trying many of the water soluble CBD products on the market, like hemplucid CBD water soluble, or CBD American Shaman water soluble, we found that most water soluble CBD products were difficult to swallow (tasted WAY too strong). ZenLeaf products are nicely balanced with a potent dose of CBD (250mg-1000mg) and a nice flavor to avoid cringing that may come from unflavored nano CBD products.
Why should you use Nano CBD over a regular oil based CBD product?
So what’s the big deal? This is the golden question. Nano CBD disperses cannabinoids into the bloodstream more effectively and rapidly than oil based CBD. This has to do with CBD bioavailability, or in other words, how easy it is for CBD to enter your body’s blood stream. Oil based CBD products have poor bioavailability of CBD, as only a small fraction of the dosage enters the blood stream (perhaps only around 10%) because it is blocked by the liver in the first pass metabolism process. However, ZenLeaf Nano CBD has high bioavailability (75-90%) as the nano CBD particles can slip through the first pass metabolism and enter the blood stream.
In other words your body prefers water based CBD, because after all, your body is made of water! So as you consume a water soluble CBD, your body knows how to absorb more of the compound, making for a more effective and potent CBD experience.
For a quick review of the differences between oil based and water based CBD, take a look at the chart below:
Nano Water Soluble CBD
- 75-90% absorption
- $0.10/mg of CBD that is absorbed
- Effective sublingually (absorbed under tongue)
- Effective after swallowed
Oil Soluble CBD
- 10-20% absorption
- $0.50/mg of CBD that is absorbed
- Effective sublingually (absorbed under tongue)
- Not effective after swallowed
FAQ’s
What is Nano CBD?
Nano CBD is regular CBD that has been converted into nano particles through a patented process of sonicationNano CBD is regular CBD that has been converted into nano particles through a patented process of sonication
What is Water Soluble CBD?
After CBD is broken down into nano particles, it becomes much more soluble in water. Nano CBD and water-soluble CBD are essentially interchangeable terms.
What is bioavailability?
Bioavailability describes how effectively your body is able to absorb a compound. For example, calcium in milk is absorbed 30-35% by the body, so its bioavailability is 30%. Oil Based CBD is 10-20% bioavailable, and water-soluble CBD is 75-90% bioavailable
What is First pass metabolism?
This is part of your body’s digestive system in which it absorbs or filters vitamins, minerals, and compounds through the gut lining and the liver
What is better, oil based or water-based CBD?
Water soluble CBD will be less expensive (per mg that your body absorbs), and a more effective CBD experience than oil-based CBD products
