What is CBD?
CBD (cannabidiol) has significant medical benefits without any psychoactive effects (no THC), meaning that it provides health benefits without making people "high." While the biology is complicated, in essence, CBD communicates with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in the body, which helps regulate multiple functions including sleep, pain, and the immune system. This allows doses of CBD to provide relief to people who suffer from inflammation, pain, anxiety, psychosis, seizures, spasms etc.

CBD from cannabis has been used for thousands of years to treat pain, originally by the Chinese around 2900 B.C. Studies show that CBD may help reduce pain by working with the endocannabinoid system, reducing inflammation which expedites the healing process. Substance abuse treatment
CBD has been shown to modify circuits in the brain related to drug addiction. In rats, CBD has been shown to reduce morphine dependence and heroin-seeking behavior (link).

In test-tube and animal studies, CBD has demonstrated anti-tumor effects. In animals, it has been shown to prevent the spread of breast, prostate, brain, colon and lung cancer (link).
Diabetes prevention
In diabetic mice, treatment with CBD reduced the incidence of diabetes by 56% and significantly reduced inflammation (link).
High Blood Pressure
Studies indicate that CBD may be a natural and effective treatment for high blood pressure (link).
